Lucknow: The social awareness group Paramparik Paridhan Sakhis (PPS) celebrated its first anniversary with great enthusiasm at Dayal Bagicha, with the participation of over 50 women from diverse age groups and backgrounds. The group is dedicated to promoting handloom sarees and traditional dress materials, supporting artisans while fostering cultural and social awareness.
The event was graced by special guest Sohani Pandey, a spiritual guru and Sanjeevni Sadhak, who shared insightful thoughts on spirituality and inspired attendees to embrace spiritual learning for a balanced and fulfilling life.
The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by distinguished guests Sohani Pandey, Sunita Singh, and Ritika Chawdhary. Rekha Kumar, founder of PPS, warmly welcomed guests and new members by presenting potted plants. She also highlighted the group’s achievements over the past year and outlined its future initiatives.
A range of cultural activities added vibrancy to the celebration. Winners in poetry recitation included Rajni Gaur and Reena Singh, while Neelam Bhasin won in storytelling. In singing, Manju Mehrotra, Anju Rastogi, and Reena Singh were recognized, and dance winners included Alka Tripathi and Monika Singh.
All participants were felicitated with prizes by the esteemed guests. The core team members of PPS include Dr. Alka Jain, Brij Kumari Singh, Meenu Srivastava, Sadhna Kohli, and Reena Singh.
The event also saw the presence of several distinguished personalities, including Sunita Singh (MD, Dayal Group), Ritika Chawdhary (Owner, Adira Group), Archana Singh (Owner, Sidharth Agro Organics), along with Nita Singh, Rupali Patel, Sunita Shukla, Rajni Gaur, Namrata Sahai, and many eminent educationists.
The celebration beautifully reflected the spirit of tradition, empowerment, and community bonding.
